CustomersWhat customers got from OQLIS

Pathology labs, security operations centres, mines and logistics firms use OQLIS. Many run it on their own servers; some sell it to their customers under their own name.

Before

38 laboratories serve over 300 health facilities and run more than 4 million tests a year. Reports ran on a BI platform hosted in a US data centre, struggled with the volume, and quarterly reporting meant exporting to Excel by hand. The licence cost over NAD 2 million a year.

What we built

After a demonstration and a three-week proof of concept, OQLIS was installed inside NIP's own network on servers that are not reachable from the internet, with an analytical warehouse and pipelines that keep it in step with the production systems.

After

Leadership works from more than 30 live dashboards with no limit on users, including stock across more than 50 sites. No data leaves NIP, and the old licence is gone.

Business decisions are now informed by real-time data, and we're excited about the future.

Before

Gijima, a South African ICT company since 1998, pulled data from many security platforms every day. Reports were exported to Excel, then PowerPoint, mostly once a month, and nobody had a single view.

What we built

After a short proof of concept, OQLIS connected the platforms by API into one database, gave each team and each customer access to only their own data, and replaced the monthly packs with live dashboards.

After

Gijima puts OQLIS in front of its customers as part of its own security service, and adds new customers to it as the service grows.

OQLIS has helped us automatically consolidate data from multiple tool sets and produce data of value for customers in real time.

Before

Security data sat in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Defender, Azure Log Analytics and other tools' APIs. Analysts merged it by hand for each client, and a shared cloud service was ruled out for data this sensitive.

What we built

OQLIS runs inside the provider's own infrastructure. It queries Azure Log Analytics directly in its own query language, KQL, keeps each client's data apart in one system, and sends scheduled PowerPoint reports.

After

Every client gets the same standard reports with their own data, and a new client is set up in far less time.

The biggest differentiator for us with OQLIS was the ability to give our customers the opportunity to play with their own data, without breaking anything.

What customers and partners say

We've tried all the big players and they couldn't answer our questions. As soon as we met with OQLIS we realised these guys could answer our questions.

We could create this reporting layer across many different types of technologies and we can interchange them.

We looked at a few other low-code platforms before OQLIS but they did not tick all the boxes.

If we did not have a partner to back that up we would not have been able to provide all of that to our customers.
